About The Position

Fidelity Investments is seeking a senior technical leader to lead Quality Engineering for the Fidelity Stock Plan Services (SPS) Technology Group. The Vice President of Quality Engineering will design, implement, and scale modern quality engineering practices, providing strategic and operational leadership while embedding quality throughout the software development lifecycle and enabling rapid innovation.

The role partners with Engineering, Product Management, DevOps, Security, and business stakeholders to establish quality standards, advance test automation and continuous testing, and protect customer trust in Fidelity’s platforms and services. It calls for deep technical expertise in software architecture, test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed systems, along with the ability to lead and influence engineering teams at scale.

The SPS Technology Group builds digital solutions and scalable technology platforms that help Fidelity clients and participants manage stock plans and holdings. Its Quality Engineering team supports high-velocity delivery and DevOps practices to help ensure excellent product quality and customer satisfaction. This role is based in Westlake. Fidelity states that it will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in software engineering and quality assurance.
• Proven experience leading QE/QA teams for complex, large-scale technology platforms.
• Deep understanding of SDLC, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
• Strong expertise in test automation, modern QA tools, and quality engineering principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams at a senior level.
• Strategic thinking and executive-level decision-making ability.
• Strong people leadership and organizational development skills.
• Data-driven mindset and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to balance speed, innovation, and quality at scale.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the quality engineering strategy and roadmap in alignment with SPS business and technology goals.
• Serve as the senior expert on quality practices, risk management, and release readiness.
• Oversee test strategy design, including functional, regression, and integration testing with external systems and applications.
• Establish quality gates, metrics, and release criteria to support predictable and safe deployments.
• Work with stakeholders to identify end-to-end integrated testing strategies that maximize coverage and efficiency.
• Build, mentor, and lead high-performing QE managers, engineers, and specialists.
• Partner with Engineering, Product Management, DevOps, Security, and business stakeholders to establish quality standards and drive test automation and continuous testing.
