About The Position

LPL Financial is seeking a strategic and intellectually curious Vice President, Product Strategy & Market Insights. This role will lead the development and operation of a recurring market intelligence capability that provides actionable insights on the evolving wealth management and advisor technology landscape. The position partners closely with product, strategy, and go-to-market teams to assess market trends, competitive dynamics, emerging technologies, and industry investment patterns. The successful candidate will translate complex market developments into clear recommendations that inform product positioning, roadmap prioritization, and strategic decision-making.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Strategy, Technology, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in product strategy, product management, management consulting, market research, strategic insights, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience synthesizing large volumes of information into concise recommendations that support business decisions.
Experience evaluating product, platform, and technology capabilities to support strategic analysis and decision-making.
Experience partnering with product and technical subject-matter experts to develop positioning and differentiation strategies.

Responsibilities

Build and operate a recurring market intelligence capability that provides ongoing visibility into industry direction, platform trends, capability evolution, and competitive market shifts.
Produce regular insight deliverables including competitive landscape assessments, capability deep-dives, benchmark analyses, and executive-level market briefings.
Partner with product subject-matter experts to evaluate market developments, assess competitive positioning, and identify differentiation opportunities.
Translate industry and market insights into actionable implications for product roadmaps, investment priorities, and build-versus-buy decisions.
Maintain a comprehensive view of established competitors, emerging market participants, and new technology entrants.
Track emerging technologies and advisor experience innovations, evaluating potential opportunities and risks for LPL’s platform and ecosystem.
Establish repeatable research methodologies, information sources, and analytical frameworks that support a sustainable market insights function.
Collaborate with product, strategy, and go-to-market stakeholders to incorporate market intelligence into planning processes and key business decisions.
