This role serves as the primary procurement business partner to the Communications GM and leadership team. The position involves developing and executing a multi-year procurement strategy aligned with business priorities, technology roadmaps, customer programs, and margin goals. The role leads sourcing and supplier strategies across various categories including direct materials, engineered components, electronics, optics, mechanicals, contract manufacturing, capital equipment, logistics, and indirect spend. It requires close collaboration with engineering, product management, operations, supply chain, finance, quality, and legal to align supplier strategies with business needs. Early engagement in product development and NPI is crucial to influence design-to-cost, design-to-source, supplier selection, and supply readiness. The position is responsible for building and managing a global supplier network that supports cost, quality, delivery, innovation, capacity, responsiveness, and risk requirements. Key responsibilities include leading major supplier negotiations, driving cost savings and working-capital improvements, developing supply assurance strategies for critical components, and improving supplier performance. The role also involves providing market insights on supplier trends and strengthening procurement analytics, processes, and systems. Finally, it includes leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing procurement team.
