About The Position

The Portfolio Manager will support the management of U.S. and Global Preferred Securities strategies within the Citi Portfolio Solutions Powered by BlackRock (CxB) Fixed Income SMA platform. This role partners closely with senior portfolio managers, credit research, trading, and risk teams to help implement investment strategy, monitor portfolios, and support day‑to‑day portfolio management activities across client mandates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in portfolio management, trading, investment analytics, or fixed income research
  • Strong interest in fixed income markets, credit, and income‑oriented strategies
  • Solid analytical skills with experience working with portfolio data, risk metrics, and performance analysis
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with portfolio management systems and analytics platforms is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with preferred securities, capital securities, or financials credit markets
  • Experience supporting active fixed income strategies across multiple client mandates

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior portfolio managers in the construction, implementation, and ongoing management of CxB U.S. and Global Preferred Securities SMA portfolios
  • Support portfolio positioning, trade execution, and rebalancing in alignment with investment guidelines and risk parameters
  • Monitor portfolio exposures including issuer concentration, sector allocation, ratings distribution, duration, and income characteristics
  • Conduct portfolio analytics and performance attribution, including income generation, price return, and relative value drivers
  • Maintain and update portfolio tools, reports, and internal dashboards used for investment decision‑making and client communication
  • Coordinate with trading, operations, compliance, and risk teams to ensure accurate execution and operational efficiency
  • Support client and internal communications, including preparation of portfolio commentary, market updates, and investment materials
  • Stay informed on macroeconomic developments, rates markets, financials, and global preferred and capital securities markets
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives related to portfolio construction, reporting, and analytics
