About The Position

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of The Vice President, POM Product Owner to join our Wealth Services team with a focus on Private Banking across Deposits, Lending and Mortgage capabilities. This role is located New York, New York. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: Lead the development and execution of product strategies by demonstrating expertise in POM Product Management, ensuring alignment with BNY's strategic objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product vision and roadmap, ensuring seamless integration and delivery of product enhancements. Drive product innovation by incorporating client feedback and industry trends, thereby enhancing product offerings and maintaining competitive advantage. Translates product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria. Prioritize and manage product backlog in alignment with business goals, ensuring timely and successful product releases. Facilitate agile development processes by providing clear guidance and decision-making to ensure efficient product delivery. Monitor product performance and metrics, using insights to drive continuous improvement and inform future product strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of direct product management experience in end user applications in Wealth Management, Private Banking, Deposits, Lending and/or Mortgages.
  • Experience with Private Banking deposit products, securities based lending or similar products, mortgage products, lending workflows, onboarding, servicing, and associated controls.
  • Knowledge of core banking processes, client servicing models, and operational risk considerations.
  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills to drive product vision and execution.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies and product management tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
