About The Position

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, POM Technical Product Management, to join our BNY Portal Platform team. This role is located in New York, NY. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

Product Vision & Strategy: Define and evolve the product “North Star” for the AI client experience within the BNY Portal Platform team, considering the needs of multiple business lines, the competitive landscape, and emerging technology trends.
Build in Ambiguity: Operate effectively in a new and evolving space, bringing structure to ambiguity and helping teams build from the ground up. Demonstrate comfort with experimentation, rapid learning, and creating clarity where processes, patterns, and products are still being defined.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner cross-functionally across product, design, engineering, and business teams to enhance the AI experience, align priorities, and drive delivery against shared goals. Build strong relationships across stakeholders and bring a highly collaborative approach to solving complex product challenges.
Product Development and Prioritization: Lead the product development across multiple pods, helping product owners prioritize backlog and intake items from partner teams. Where needed complete detailed requirements for design, development, testing, and deployment.
Product Adoption: Lead roll-out for products coordinating timing with broader platform and key partner releases. Responsible for maintaining and continually improving product to ensure target adoption and results in line with OKR set in strategy.
Note: All products are common services across BNY e.g. reporting and access and authentication.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Computer science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in product management, preferably within the financial services or fintech industry.
• Strong understanding of digital technologies, including web and mobile applications, APIs and data analytics with a design first sensibility in all stages of the product development lifecycle.
• Experience working closely with engineering pods or agile technology teams to bring innovative digital products from concept to launch.
• Proven ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-evolving environments and build new capabilities, products, or experiences from scratch.
• Deep understanding of customer needs and a commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences, along with excellent communication and analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

• MBA or relevant advanced degree is desirable.
