About The Position

We are seeking an accomplished Vice President, Patient Advocacy & Corporate Communications to lead an integrated strategy spanning Patient Advocacy, External Engagement, Government Affairs, and Corporate Communications. This executive will ensure the patient perspective meaningfully shapes Immunic's strategy, culture, and external communications, deepen relationships with the multiple sclerosis community, and strengthen the company's reputation as it advances toward late-stage clinical, regulatory, and commercial milestones. The VP will serve as a senior enterprise leader and trusted advisor to the executive team, building and leading a high-performing team including a senior communications leader.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, patient advocacy, or corporate communications.
  • Deep, demonstrated expertise spanning both patient advocacy and corporate communications, with the breadth to lead an integrated function.
  • Strong understanding of drug development, regulatory, and commercialization milestones, and the ability to translate complex science into compelling narratives.
  • Proven experience advising CEOs and senior executives on sensitive, high-profile communications and stakeholder matters.
  • Demonstrated success building functions, teams, and operating models within a growing organization, including managing agencies and budgets.

Nice To Haves

  • advanced degree in communications, public affairs, business, healthcare, or life sciences preferred.
  • Experience in multiple sclerosis, neuroscience, immunology, or specialty therapeutics strongly preferred, with existing MS advocacy community relationships highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead Immunic's global patient advocacy strategy, starting with the multiple sclerosis community, and build trusted relationships with patient organizations, leaders, and caregivers.
  • Establish systematic approaches (advisory boards, listening initiatives, research) for incorporating the patient voice into clinical, medical, access, and commercial strategy.
  • Provide strategic leadership over corporate communications, including reputation, media relations, executive and internal communications, digital/social, and issues management.
  • Develop and evolve Immunic's corporate narrative and messaging, and oversee integrated communications around clinical data, regulatory milestones, and corporate developments.
  • Serve as senior communications advisor to the CEO, President & COO, and executive team, supporting executive positioning and high-profile external engagement.
  • Build an integrated approach connecting corporate storytelling with authentic patient experiences across all communications channels and materials.
  • Represent Immunic externally with patient organizations, industry associations, and policymakers, and monitor policy issues affecting MS patients and the company.
  • Serve as a member of the senior leadership team, bringing external and patient perspectives into enterprise strategy and major milestone planning.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Patient Advocacy & Corporate Communications organization, including talent, budgets, agencies, and performance metrics.
