This role is for a Vice President (VP) or Senior Vice President (SVP) of Portfolio Management with a focus on Financial Institutions and Insurance. The position involves performing financial analysis and preparing underwriting documents for complex, multimillion-dollar corporate credit requests. Responsibilities include obtaining approval for new credit exposure and amendments, ongoing credit monitoring and risk rating for a portfolio of corporate clients, negotiating and reviewing legal documentation, and assisting product partners in cross-selling bank products. The SVP level is expected to be a thought leader and handle complex underwritings independently, while the VP level may work more collaboratively and with less complex deals. Experience underwriting credit for insurance companies, financial services companies, and/or other financial institutions is preferred. This role focuses on credit underwriting for borrowers within the financial institutions sector and does not involve insurance policy underwriting. The specific title (VP or SVP) and compensation will be determined by the candidate's experience and qualifications.
