Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our IU Health’s leadership team in the role of Vice President, West Lafayette. The Vice President, Operations partners with executive, regional, and facility leaders to advance strategic and operational priorities across assigned hospitals and care delivery sites, supporting growth, access, and high-quality patient care. This leader provides operational oversight for assigned facilities, service lines, and ancillary functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, operational excellence, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and value-based care principles. In partnership with clinical and operational stakeholders, the Vice President drives continuous improvement, standardizes processes, enhances service delivery, and supports innovation in care models and service line development. Serving as a key link between system strategy and local execution, the Vice President collaborates closely with facility leaders, physicians, and community stakeholders to meet evolving patient and community needs. This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer & Hospital Administrator or a designated regional executive leader.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Requires 10 plus years of relevant experience.
  • Requires 8 years of people leader experience.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed and relationship-driven culture.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with a particular focus on operations, financial, quantitative, and analytical management.
  • Must have the ability to exhibit precise and detail-oriented skills so that complicated and/or multifaceted assignments can be completed with a high degree of exactness.
  • Requires interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, analytical, and presentation skills, with the ability to lead groups and programs.
  • Requires an understanding of Joint Commission, state, and federal guidelines, regulations and standards.

  • Master's Degree is preferred.
