About The Position

The Vice President, Off Premise National Chains is responsible for leading half of Pernod Ricard USA’s Off Premise National Chains business, delivering sustainable growth across strategic customers, categories, and brands. This leader develops and executes customer, channel, and portfolio strategies that drive volume, net sales, profit, value share, distribution, and execution excellence while strengthening Pernod Ricard’s position as a preferred partner with key retailers and distributors. As a key member of the National Chains Leadership Team, this role leads a high-performing organization of Directors, Senior Managers, and Managers, while partnering closely with Brand Marketing, Finance, Revenue Growth Management, Commercial Operations, Field Marketing, Customer Strategy, Insights, and distributor leadership to deliver market-beating results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
  • 15+ years of commercial, sales, or customer leadership experience, preferably within beverage alcohol, CPG, retail, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success leading large national account teams and delivering sustainable growth across complex customer portfolios.
  • Proven experience managing significant P&L responsibility, budgets, forecasting, ROI, and performance management routines.
  • Strong track record influencing executive-level customers, distributor leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience leading in a matrixed organization with strong collaboration across brand, finance, field, operations, insights, and commercial teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and retain high-performing teams and future leaders.
  • Approximately 50% travel to customer sites, distributor meetings, internal meetings, and market visits is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the Off Premise National Chains strategy to achieve long-term growth objectives across assigned customers and brands.
  • Translate enterprise commercial priorities into customer-specific plans that deliver volume, revenue, profit, value share, and distribution growth.
  • Lead annual business planning, innovation launches, and strategic initiatives that position Pernod Ricard to outperform the market.
  • Identify growth opportunities through customer insights, category trends, shopper behavior, portfolio strategy, and distributor partnerships.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key national chain customers, wholesalers, and distributor partners.
  • Drive customer engagement strategies that improve distribution, visibility, velocity, category leadership, and retail execution.
  • Partner with distributor leadership to ensure execution excellence, accountability, pricing alignment, and performance delivery.
  • Represent Pernod Ricard as a senior commercial leader in strategic customer and industry engagements.
  • Own delivery of volume, net sales, profitability, share, ROI, and KPI objectives across assigned customers and markets.
  • Lead forecasting, business reviews, investment planning, scorecarding, and performance management routines.
  • Partner with Commercial Finance and Revenue Growth Management to optimize pricing, programming, promotional effectiveness, and resource allocation.
  • Use data, dashboards, and post-program analysis to improve decision-making, forecast accuracy, and investment discipline.
  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing, Commercial Operations, Field Marketing, Finance, Revenue Growth Management, Customer Strategy, and Insights to create integrated customer growth plans.
  • Champion standard ways of working, best-practice sharing, and continuous improvement across the National Chains organization.
  • Lead transformation initiatives that improve customer-facing capabilities, execution effectiveness, organizational efficiency, and long-term growth.
  • Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing sales organization focused on accountability, collaboration, and winning in the marketplace.
  • Establish clear objectives, performance expectations, operating routines, and development plans across the team.
  • Coach and develop future leaders while strengthening succession plans and talent pipelines.
