About The Position

Oregon State Credit Union is seeking a Vice President of Wealth Management to provide strategic leadership for its investment services program. This role is responsible for leading and growing the Wealth Management program, directing advisors and support staff, and ensuring a productive, compliant, and member-focused operation. The position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and collaborates with various departments to drive business growth, develop strategic initiatives, strengthen member relationships, and increase awareness of investment services. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, results-oriented leader with expertise in investment services, strong business acumen, and a passion for coaching high-performing teams.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of investment and insurance products, wealth management strategies, suitability standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong understanding of investment services operations, compliance practices, advisor supervision, and program development.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for growth and enhanced member value.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing business plans, production goals, and growth strategies.
  • Proven ability to identify new business opportunities, strengthen referral partnerships, expand market awareness, and position wealth management as a core component of the member experience.
  • Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing licensed financial professionals and support teams.
  • Skilled at building an engaged, accountable, and member-centric culture while fostering collaboration, professional growth, and strong performance.
  • Management and sales coaching experience required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build trust across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with executive leadership, operational teams, advisors, vendors, and regulatory partners while navigating complex situations with sound judgment and professionalism.
  • Strong understanding of investment services compliance requirements, suitability standards, and regulatory expectations.
  • Experience overseeing compliant programs, managing policy and procedure development, and working with supervisory and compliance partners to address regulatory matters effectively.
  • Twelve years of experience in the investment and insurance industry with prior management experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required.
  • Series 7, 63, and 65 (or 66) licenses with a clean FINRA record are preferred.
  • Oregon Insurance License required.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the legal right to work in the US.
  • Must pass a background screening.
