About The Position

We are hiring a Vice President of Sales / Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to help lead the next chapter of growth at Ardent. This is not a “manage from the sidelines” role. We are looking for a driven, motivated, commercially minded builder with 8+ years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain, or international transportation. Someone who understands this business. Someone who knows how to sell. Someone who gets excited about building teams, winning customers, mentoring people, and creating something meaningful. This role is for a person who wants to make a real impact, not just collect a paycheck. Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, supply chain, or a related industry
  • A proven track record of business development and revenue growth
  • Experience selling international logistics services (ocean, air, customs, drayage, etc.)
  • Strong leadership instincts and the ability to influence people
  • High emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills
  • A builder mentality and willingness to roll up your sleeves
  • A strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • The ability to move fast, solve problems, and adapt

Responsibilities

  • Lead Ardent’s commercial growth strategy across ocean, air, customs brokerage, drayage, transload, and trade advisory services
  • Develop and execute sales strategies that drive profitable revenue growth
  • Personally help win and expand strategic accounts
  • Build relationships with importers, exporters, procurement leaders, and supply chain executives
  • Identify new markets, industries, and growth opportunities
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing sales talent
  • Create accountability, structure, and performance expectations
  • Improve pipeline management, forecasting, and sales discipline
  • Build a culture of ownership, responsiveness, and customer obsession
  • Work closely with operations and leadership to ensure seamless customer execution
  • Help bridge the gap between sales promises and operational excellence
  • Identify customer pain points and turn them into solutions
  • Be a leader inside the organization, not just externally
  • Serve as a key voice in company strategy and growth planning
  • Help evolve our go-to-market strategy
  • Contribute to leadership discussions around hiring, service expansion, and long-term growth
  • Play a meaningful role in building something that lasts
