About The Position

DuraServ is seeking a procurement executive to build and lead a new, centralized enterprise-wide procurement function. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing procurement strategies, policies, technologies, and supplier relationships. The Vice President of Procurement will play a critical role in shaping how the company sources, buys, and manages supply chain risk, contributing to its growth and operational efficiency. Requirements

  • Experience building or materially scaling a procurement function, not just managing one.
  • Experience operating at or alongside large, sophisticated organizations with world-class procurement standards.
  • Ability to negotiate from a position of preparation and credibility.
  • Executive presence: clear communication, sound judgment, and the ability to influence at every level.
  • Analytically driven: comfortable interpreting procurement, inventory, and supply chain data and translating it into decisions.
  • Experience building teams, establishing culture, accountability, and performance standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive procurement or supply chain leadership experience, with demonstrated tenure in multi-location or operationally complex environments.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, procurement technologies, and data analytics tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a centralized enterprise procurement strategy, including sourcing frameworks, supplier selection, contract governance, and compliance controls.
  • Implement procurement policies, procedures, auditing processes, and internal controls.
  • Lead the selection, implementation, and optimization of procurement technologies and ERP systems.
  • Establish and manage strategic supplier and vendor relationships, including performance management, risk assessment, contract negotiation, and service level expectations.
  • Lead sourcing initiatives and contract administration activities.
  • Monitor market conditions, pricing trends, and supply chain disruptions proactively.
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, Sales, and executive leadership to forecast inventory requirements, optimize stock levels, and maintain business continuity.
  • Analyze procurement and supply chain data to identify trends, reduce costs, and drive strategic decisions.
  • Lead, develop, and build a high-performance procurement and purchasing team, establishing standards of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
