About The Position

Texas Oncology is looking for a Vice President of Operations to join their team to support their south region. This is a remote position, but Texas residency is required. Texas Oncology is the largest community oncology provider in the country, with approximately 600+ providers in 220+ sites across Texas and southeastern Oklahoma. Their mission is to use leading-edge technology and research to deliver high-quality, high-touch, evidence-based cancer care to help patients achieve 'More breakthroughs. More victories.' in their fight against cancer. They treat half of all Texans diagnosed with cancer annually.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Typically requires thirteen years of professional experience and ten years of diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation skills (or equivalent experience).
  • Organizational Planning: Ability to align departments and teams for optimal productivity.
  • Leadership & Team Building: Motivates and empowers teams; fosters collaboration.
  • Negotiation & Conflict Resolution: Skilled in resolving disputes and securing favorable outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the development and implementation of strategic plans and budgets based on organizational goals.
  • Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and objectives, ensuring compliance and timely updates.
  • Monitor business conditions and advise senior leadership on operational matters.
  • Ensure adherence to legal requirements and government reporting regulations.
  • Oversee employee evaluation processes, including performance reviews, merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
  • Monitor and communicate organizational progress through analysis and reporting.
  • Lead business development initiatives, including market assessments and expansion planning.
  • Manage contract administration, quality assurance, utilization review, and ROI analysis.
  • Develop and implement expense control programs.
  • Oversee pricing strategies and financial modeling for competitive positioning.
  • Maintain responsibility for margin analysis and unique billing arrangements.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and ensure alignment of strategic plans.
