About The Position

Steampunk is seeking an experienced Director with an appetite for taking on new challenges to be an agent of change on a team committed to achieving client-focused, mission-driven excellence. As part of the Steampunk team, you will test the status quo, explore new boundaries, and set the bar high for how government clients expect to engage with contractors.

Requirements

• Experience collaborating with sales, business development, recruiting, contracts, and finance in the pursuit of new contracts/proposals
• Experience collaborating with program managers, project managers, and clients to improve the delivery of services and create “client delight”
• Experience in training and mentorship of project and program managers in the performance of their duties
• Experience being responsible and accountable for the P&L of your area of responsibility
• 15+ years of Program and/or Operations Director/VP experience leading federal IT services work across multiple agencies/components
• 20+ Years of Experience
• Must have current PT Clearance
• Local to the Washington, DC metro is required
• Will be required to be onsite for customer needs
• Must have current knowledge of Steampunk's Design Intelligence Methodology

Responsibilities

• Be responsible and accountable for all the operational delivery across the sector
• Provide operational support, leadership, and guidance in the current and future operations of the sector
• Lead a growing team of program, project, and technical leaders in providing best in class IT services
• Identify and hire the absolute best leadership we can find for our client delivery teams
• Support, train, and mentor program and project managers for success in the performance of their work
