About The Position

Oversees the operations of the mental health program including compliance, fiscal management, and continued development.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree and Licensure by BBS
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in DMH-contracted mental health settings
  • 4 years supervisory experience preferred
  • Word Processing, Email, internet, ability to learn clinical software, basic office skills (i.e. typing, telephone, copier)
  • Must pass pre-employment physical exam, TB and drug screening
  • Ability to commute to various sites on and off campus
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed
  • Ability to physically restrain children (if needed)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Mental Health Services including supervision of department Directors and Managers.
  • Participate in the hiring and evaluation of professional staff and cultivate effective team operation.
  • Monitor all aspects of the mental health program to assure that the physical, social, and psychological needs of the children and families are met.
  • Ensure compliance to regulations set forth by county partners as well as other state and federal agencies and accreditation bodies.
  • Work with administrative and program staff to provide a culturally competent system of care.
  • Provide training to staff as needed.
  • Assure staff has county required trainings.
  • In conjunction with the SVP of Human Services, oversee the annual budget and monitor expenses throughout the year.
  • Work with other department Directors/Clinical Supervisors to increase clear communication and mutual support between programs.
  • Monitor care records to assure that required treatment documentation is included and meets agency and professional standards.
  • Work jointly with the Quality Systems department to monitor program quality, documentation standards and outcomes and facilitate chart reviews and corrections.
  • In conjunction with the SVP of Human Services, monitor and review department protocol/policies and procedures and productivity/time-management.
  • Actively participate in the agency’s Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process.
  • Participate in strategic planning and assist the agency in the growth of programs and services.
  • Actively lead and initiate changes in programs as needed
  • Assume other related duties as assigned.
