The Vice President of Loan Servicing Compliance and Risk leads the organization's mortgage servicing compliance program, ensuring adherence to all applicable federal and state regulations. This role provides strategic guidance on servicing and default management compliance, oversees regulatory examinations and audits, manages a team of compliance professionals, and serves as the subject matter expert on mortgage servicing laws and regulatory requirements. The position partners closely with business leaders to identify and mitigate risk while supporting a strong culture of compliance across the organization.

Requirements

3-5+ years of mortgage loan servicing experience, with a strong understanding of servicing operations and regulatory requirements.
3-5+ years of compliance, risk management, or regulatory oversight experience, preferably within the mortgage or financial services industry.
Experience working with compliance management, risk monitoring, and regulatory reporting systems.
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring adherence to applicable regulatory requirements and company policies.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Strong attention to detail and dedication to operational excellence and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee compliance with all applicable federal and state regulatory requirements related to mortgage loan servicing, including traditional servicing functions such as payment processing, billing, escrow administration, and default management operations.
Manage and direct a team of compliance and risk professionals responsible for supporting the loan servicing function across the company, affiliated entities, and joint ventures.
Partner with business leaders and compliance teams to facilitate regulatory examinations, internal audits, and compliance reviews.
Serve as the subject matter expert on mortgage servicing compliance, providing guidance on federal and state regulations, reporting requirements, and risk management practices.
Maintain advanced knowledge of key regulatory frameworks, including RESPA, TILA, ECOA, FCRA, FACTA, and UDAAP as they relate to loan servicing and default management.
Provide strategic and operational compliance support to loan servicing and default management teams by advising day-to-day regulatory questions and compliance matters.
Prepare and deliver executive-level reports, compliance updates, and presentations to senior leadership and Boards of Directors.
Monitor, research, and analyze emerging regulatory developments and industry trends impacting mortgage servicing compliance, including legislative changes, new products and services, geographic expansion, mergers and acquisitions, and changes in business operations.
Develop, coordinate, and deliver compliance training programs to ensure employees remain informed of applicable servicing regulations, policies, and procedures.
Lead compliance-related initiatives and projects involving new or revised loan servicing requirements, serving as the primary compliance representative and advisor throughout implementation.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to strengthen compliance controls, mitigate servicing-related risks, and promote a culture of regulatory compliance across the organization.
