Define and execute a technology roadmap focused on platform modernization, system stability, scalability, and operational standardization. Provide hands-on leadership across application development and support, ensuring disciplined SDLC practices, change management, and production stability. Oversee cloud-based data pipelines, ingestion, validation, and enforcement of data quality rules to ensure accuracy and traceability of financial and claims data. Establish and maintain governance standards for system integrity, reporting consistency, security, and compliance. Manage cloud infrastructure, services, and cost optimization while ensuring appropriate security controls are in place. Partner closely with cross-functional leaders to align technology solutions with operational, financial, and client needs. Manage and coordinate external vendors and technology partners to ensure delivery aligns with strategic objectives. Participate in on-site collaboration as needed to support onboarding, planning sessions, and key initiatives in Montgomery, Alabama.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive IT leadership experience with direct oversight of application development and data engineering teams.
  • Willingness to travel to and work on-site in Montgomery, Alabama, on a periodic basis to support onboarding, collaboration, and key initiatives.
  • Strong hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms, including data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, relational databases, and data quality enforcement.
  • Proven ability to own and support production systems handling financial or healthcare-related data with a focus on accuracy, traceability, and reliability.
  • Demonstrated success modernizing technology environments and introducing structure, documentation, and governance into growing organizations.
  • Experience leading cloud infrastructure, security practices, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands-on technical contribution when needed.
