Requirements

  • Extensive experience in hospice care, including clinical leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of successful operational management and business development in a healthcare setting.
  • Deep understanding of hospice regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Master's degree in nursing (MSN), healthcare administration, or a related field.
  • Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Oversight: Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compassionate hospice care to patients and their families, aligning with clinical best practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitoring patient care plans, quality metrics, and clinical outcomes.
  • Overseeing the clinical staff, including nurses, social workers, chaplains, and aides, ensuring proper training and competency.
  • Operational Management: Managing day-to-day hospice operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Developing and implementing operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Overseeing budget management, financial reporting, and cost control within the hospice program.
  • Business Development: Identifying and developing new business opportunities to expand hospice services within the community.
  • Building relationships with referral sources, including healthcare providers, hospitals, and community organizations.
  • Leading marketing and outreach initiatives to promote hospice services.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding hospice care.
  • Monitoring regulatory changes and implementing necessary updates to policies and procedures.
  • Overseeing quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of care.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Providing leadership and mentorship to the hospice team, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Evaluating staff performance and identifying training needs.
