Vice President of Finance and Administration

AFC Urgent Care Portland/VancouverTigard, OR
Onsite

About The Position

We are a leading multi-site urgent care platform operating eight clinics across a major West Coast metropolitan area, with approximately 150 employees and a differentiated service mix that includes Occupational Health, a High Complexity Laboratory, Telehealth, and a centralized operations Hub. The company is entering a multi-year period of accelerated, disciplined growth — supported by a strong de novo pipeline, an active acquisition opportunity set, and meaningful market tailwinds in our region. We are seeking a Vice President, Finance & Administration to lead our finance, accounting, revenue cycle, human resources, and information technology functions during this next chapter. This is a newly elevated executive role reporting directly to the CEO, with a direct seat at the table on the most important decisions facing the platform — capital allocation, M&A, organic growth, team development, and long-term value creation.

Requirements

  • CPA, or demonstrated technical accounting depth equivalent to a CPA, with a foundation of rigorous accounting judgment
  • Twelve or more years of progressive finance leadership experience, with meaningful time as VP Finance, CFO, or senior Controller in a multi-site services environment
  • Direct experience leading a company through a financial audit or formal review
  • Multi-state accounting, tax, and regulatory fluency, with familiarity with the West Coast environment
  • Track record of mentoring and elevating an existing capable team rather than rebuilding from scratch
  • Executive presence and the ability to serve as a credible partner to a founder-CEO and Board

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a private-equity-backed or institutionally backed platform
  • Healthcare services experience — urgent care, primary care, occupational health, or other multi-site ambulatory or specialty provider platforms
  • M&A execution experience, including diligence, valuation, and integration
  • Hands-on experience with revenue recognition methodology, cash-to-accrual conversion, or GAAP elevation work
  • Familiarity with MSO/PC operating structures and Corporate Practice of Medicine regulatory considerations
  • Genuine engagement with AI-enabled finance and operational workflows

Responsibilities

  • All financial leadership for a multi-entity, multi-state operating platform, including accounting, controls, financial reporting, FP&A, treasury, and tax
  • Revenue cycle oversight across in-house, offshore, and outsourced billing partners — supporting urgent care, Occupational Health, and laboratory billing
  • Human resources strategy and infrastructure, including compensation design, benefits administration, HRIS, and multi-state employment compliance
  • Information technology strategy, including enterprise systems, cybersecurity, vendor strategy, and the company's broader SaaS-enabled operating stack
  • Strategic partnership with the CEO and executive team on growth, M&A, and platform-level decisions

Benefits

  • base salary
  • annual performance bonus
  • long-term incentive participation
