As the Vice President of Experience , you will shape the heartbeat of our association-leading strategic operations, inspiring innovative programming, and guiding branch leadership to deliver meaningful, unforgettable experiences. Your work will directly influence how members feel when they walk through our doors: welcomed, supported, inspired, and part of something bigger. This is a role for a strategic thinker, a leader of leaders, and someone energized by community impact.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree (required).
  • 7+ years of leadership experience in facility operations.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build authentic relationships.
  • Proven expertise in budget development, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
  • A heart for service-and a commitment to the mission and values of the YMCA.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to build bridges across the community.

Responsibilities

  • Elevate the Member Journey
  • Champion a culture of inclusion, engagement, and belonging.
  • Drive association-wide strategies to grow membership and improve retention.
  • Lead wellness and program initiatives that keep members connected and motivated.
  • Drive Operational Excellence
  • Ensure high-quality, mission-aligned programs across all assigned branches.
  • Create and roll out "best practices" that streamline operations and enhance the member experience.
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts to maximize efficiency and innovation.
  • Develop & Inspire People
  • Supervise, mentor, and hold accountable Executive Directors in assigned branches.
  • Build strong leaders and a robust bench-strengthening our future.
  • Foster a culture of constant learning, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Lead Strategically
  • Develop and manage budgets with accuracy and transparency.
  • Serve as an integral voice on our enterprise leadership team.
