The Vice President (VP) of Development is a senior leadership role responsible for building the strategy, relationships, systems, and team necessary to significantly grow philanthropic support for BGCT. Working closely with the President & CEO, the VP will bring an already successful development operation to new levels of professionalism and results by developing and implementing an explicit, multi-year strategic resource development plan encompassing annual giving, major gifts, corporate and foundation relationships, donor stewardship, and fundraising events. The VP will personally manage a portfolio of key donors and prospects while building a disciplined, metrics-driven development operation that supports BGCT's long-term growth. This role will assume increasing ownership of donor cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and long-range development strategy, freeing the President & CEO to focus on large-scale management and strategic initiatives. This position directly supervises development-related staff, including individual and annual giving, corporate and foundation giving, grants, donor stewardship, development operations, and special events, while establishing clear accountability, measurable performance expectations, and an integrated team approach to achieving BGCT's annual and long-term resource development goals.
