About The Position

The primary role of the Vice President of Compliance & Quality is to establish and manage the corporate quality assurance system and serve as the executive resource ensuring all compliance efforts throughout the agency are met. This executive position is responsible for initiating direction and goals for compliance strategies, leading a team that promotes client safety, and positively impacting the organizational well-being of Kittitas Interactive Management's (KIM) client base. Crucially, the VP serves as a primary driver of the agency's 2026 Standard of Excellence, actively championing Consistency in Care, Integrity in Operations, and Stability & Growth to ensure KIM continues to lead the state in service delivery.

Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Current criminal background check, cleared by DSHS before working alone, unsupervised with clients.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of executive operations or compliance management experience.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to adapt to a fast-changing environment.
  • Ability to gain the trust and confidence of the executive and management team.
  • Excellent reading comprehension and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, reports, technical specifications, governmental regulations, and correspondence.
  • Ability to apply proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and format to communications.
  • Ability to present information in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations to management and staff.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts and interpret graphs.
  • Ability to solve a wide range of practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete and complex variables; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form; and ability to deal with multiple variables.
  • Ability to operate related computer applications (i.e. word processing and spreadsheet applications), and business equipment including personal computer, copy machine, fax machine, and telephone.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce rigorous protocol adherence and precision in support services to guarantee that every client receives the same high standard of care every shift, ensuring safety for clients and professional security for staff.
  • Foster a culture of transparency and accountability by demanding absolute clarity in documentation, communication, and compliance.
  • Strengthen the agency's compliance foundation to support full capacity utilization and the long-term vitality of the organization.
  • Operationalize the 2026 Standard of Excellence across all departments, ensuring these core pillars are reflected in training, supervision, and daily work.
  • Identify operational barriers quickly and solve them openly, utilizing staff feedback to continuously improve processes.
  • Oversee and execute the Quality and Compliance teams, managing quality personnel and directors on a strategic executive level.
  • Develop and submit an organization-wide compliance risk assessment and risk-focused compliance self-assessment plan.
  • Serve as the primary operational voice to State Auditors, demonstrating that our administrative and programmatic arms are working in sync.
  • Organize ongoing quality assurance evaluations in accordance with KIM and DDA guidelines.
  • Collaborate with and assist departments with investigating and resolving compliance issues identified after self-assessments, audits or examinations have been completed.
  • Proactively monitor and approve changes to internal processes, products and established compliance controls.
  • Establish metrics (process capability, control charts, measurement quality) for monitoring system effectiveness and to enable managers to make sound quality service decisions.
  • Perform internal audits on different internal processes to strengthen compliance and consistency throughout the agency.
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality when dealing with client matters relative to organizational functions, treating client information carefully and confidentially maintaining privacy and security always.
  • Communicate and reinforce organizational culture and values.
  • Manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and adjust to changes in company policies, procedures and priorities.
