About The Position

This role is for a Vice President of Architecture and Engineering at a commercial software development company. The position reports to the CTO and is responsible for leading the architecture and software engineering teams. Key responsibilities include ensuring reliability, security, scalability, and technical evolution of the company's software. The role also involves establishing engineering strategy, setting technical direction, managing budgets, and driving the modernization of the company's architecture. Additionally, the position is responsible for identifying, hiring, developing, and promoting Directors, Managers, and Team Leads, and establishing clear expectations, performance measures, and accountability.

• Drive the continued modernization of toward a modern architecture
• Manage budgets to ensure investments align with strategy and roadmap
• Establish clear expectations, performance measures, and accountability
