About The Position

Visa is seeking an exceptional leader to drive the growth and evolution of its North America Risk & Security Intelligence Solutions (RAS) business. This role is a cornerstone of Visa's Value Added Services portfolio, focusing on building next-generation risk, fraud, and identity platforms using advanced analytics, AI, and ecosystem integrations. The position offers a unique opportunity to lead a technical, strategic sales organization at the intersection of payments innovation and enterprise relationship management. The VP will command a significant portfolio, drive revenue growth across fraud detection, cybersecurity, risk assessment, and advanced analytics, and shape the risk ecosystem for North America. This role requires deep industry expertise for boardroom conversations with C-suite executives, and the ability to architect sales operations with precision, including quota design, territory planning, and compensation structures. The ideal candidate is a seasoned risk and fraud expert with a passion for payments, an inspiring solutions sales leader who thrives in complex environments, builds exceptional teams, and forges strategic relationships.

Requirements

  • 12 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or at least 10 years of experience with an advanced degree (e.g., Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD.
  • 15+ years of experience in risk/fraud/cybersecurity, payments, financial services, or fintech.
  • At least 8+ years in sales leadership managing teams of 50+ sellers.
  • Proven track record of leading large teams and consistently exceeding revenue targets.
  • Deep relationships within the North America risk ecosystem.
  • Experience with enterprise software, SaaS, or value-added services sales models preferred.
  • Strong command of technical, operational, and strategic aspects of the payments ecosystem.
  • Proven success leading highly specialized sales teams and implementing scalable sales operating models.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver consistent results while fostering healthy, sustainable team cultures.
  • Exceptional talent for developing leaders through structured coaching, feedback, and accountability.
  • Recognized as a thought leader on future trends in risk, fraud, and security.
  • Comfortable operating in matrixed environments and skilled at building alignment across cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Strategic Growth & Market Leadership: Own the North America RAS Solutions revenue strategy, partnering with product, technology, marketing, and client services to position Visa as the indispensable partner in clients' risk optimization strategies.
  • Leverage deep market and product expertise to identify whitespace opportunities, navigate complex client organizations, and architect solutions for risk, fraud, identity protection, and cybersecurity challenges.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to strategic accounts, bringing gravitas and credibility to deepen relationships at the highest levels.
  • Navigate highly technical solution sales with CISOs, CIOs, and Risk Leaders.
  • Act as a strong client advocate, collaborating with RAS Solutions and product teams to shape the product roadmap.
  • Lead with Operational Excellence: Design and execute the sales operating model for a complex, matrixed organization, establishing clear quotas, defining role responsibilities, and optimizing team structure.
  • Implement rigorous cadences and accountability mechanisms for transparency and data-driven decision making.
  • Embed strong solution selling discipline using proven sales methodologies (TAS, MEDDPICC, Challenger, SPIN).
  • Build and Elevate Exceptional Talent: Lead, inspire, and develop a team of sellers managing strategic segments across the US and Canada.
  • Develop a strong solutions selling organization, embedding training, coaching, certification, and role modeling client-oriented solution selling.
  • Establish a coaching culture with regular feedback, skill development, and performance conversations.
  • Hold leaders accountable for developing their teams, making talent development a core competency.
  • Foster an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives drive innovation and better client outcomes.
  • Serve as a Risk and Payments Authority: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory developments, translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Represent Visa in industry forums, with clients, and internally as a thought leader.
  • Partner cross-functionally with product and technology teams, providing market feedback to influence the innovation roadmap.
