About The Position

The Capital Solutions Group is a comprehensive suite of financing, origination, structuring, and risk management solutions. Within this group, PSI provides debt underwriting and advisory services for various public sector entities including state and local governments, public power and utility systems, transportation agencies, higher education, healthcare organizations, and sports franchises. PSI focuses on originating, structuring, and executing debt, derivative, advisory, and public-private partnership transactions across the U.S. The Global Sports Finance team within PSI works on high-profile projects such as stadium and arena financings, team and league financings, and the creation of new sports-related companies. This specific role will assist in structuring, executing, and leading municipal commodity prepayment transactions, offering a unique opportunity to collaborate across financial verticals and advance quickly in a fast-growing sector.

Requirements

  • Strong academic record with Bachelor’s level, equivalent or above required
  • Significant (more than 4 years) experience in project finance and/or the sports sector, ideally with investment banking, financial services, or accounting experience
  • Experience in conducting business, financial and legal due-diligence; preparing marketing materials, RFPs and structuring transactions
  • Drive, enthusiasm, creativity and excellent stakeholder/client relationship management experience
  • Personal integrity, initiative and leadership qualities
  • Strong analytical background with experience working with large and complex data sets
  • Ability to lead banking and advisory analytic processes and manage analyst and associates
  • Strong communication (verbal and written), multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Must be a collaborative team player

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with debt structuring and capital markets execution
  • Experience with client coverage and execution of M&A or other advisory transactions
  • Exposure to corporate finance and valuation analyses including DCF, LBO, merger consequences, WACC etc.

Responsibilities

  • Lead deal processes, guiding analyst and associate colleagues.
  • Have client relationship responsibilities.
  • Lead deal execution, including bond and credit structuring analysis.
  • Develop strategies and prepare presentations for rating agency presentations.
  • Assess credit enhancement structures.
  • Review legal and other offering documents.
  • Examine product alternatives as pricing approaches.
  • Drive process on the advisory side, including creating and analyzing financial models.
  • Perform scenario analyses and tests to examine the effects of alternatives.
  • Organize and prepare presentations to explain industry trends, discuss client options, and recommend strategies.
  • Participate in and conduct due diligence sessions.
  • Maintain client relationships and communication.
  • Drive business as we work collectively to structure client transactions.
  • Assist in structuring, executing, and leading municipal commodity prepayment transactions.
