Requirements

  • A self starter with an entrepreneurial spirit

  • Confident in navigating conversations with senior leadership internally and externally
  • Well versed in communicating with and presenting to clients regularly

  • 10+ years of experience in active buying within the advertising + marketing environment
  • 5+ years of experience in principal-based buying, barter and/or trade
  • Multi-channel experience across CTV, linear, audio, digital, etc.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to confidently present and “sell through” ideas
  • Strong experience and principles navigating cross-department relationships
  • Leadership and supervisory experience, including strategic and people management sills
  • Extensive experience leading direct client interaction and relationships
  • Established relationships with industry salespeople

Responsibilities

  • Oversee MX buying & investment across multiple media channels including CTV, Social, Linear, Audio, etc
  • Negotiate principal-based deals with networks, publishers & platforms
  • Help establish best practices and ideal workflow across a newly formed group in areas like buy maintenance, stewardship & billing
  • Package & present MX opportunities to internal agency teams, existing clients and prospective clients
  • Oversee Director’s/supervisor’s/buyer’s duties in packaging, negotiating, presenting and maintaining accounts within group
  • Train, direct and manage assistant and lean buying staff that works on MX clients
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of industry trends and new technologies that effect the buying discipline
