About The Position

The Vice President – Mission Critical is a strategic and operational leader responsible for identifying high-value opportunities, securing key partnerships, and driving revenue through scalable, long-term business strategies in the mission critical space. Their scope of responsibility also includes serving as the primary point of contact with Key Client Accounts while overseeing all projects completed for said Clients. The VP provides leadership across project management, engineering, construction, and operations teams to deliver world-class, reliable, and efficient systems. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 10+ years Construction of new build or renovations of Mission Critical Facilities as a General Contractor, Owner's Representative, or similar experience
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 75% of the time or relocate to the Middle East is required
  • Proven experience managing large-scale data center, telecom, or healthcare infrastructure projects.
  • Deep understanding of mission-critical strategic partnership development, design, operations, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and certifications (e.g., Tier levels, NFPA, NIST, ISO).
  • Strong financial and operational acumen.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s preferred
  • 3-5 Years of experience in business development internationally is strongly preferred
  • Experience in constructing Mission Critical Facilities internationally is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with Key Client Accounts while overseeing all projects completed for said Client
  • Meet Client satisfaction through client satisfaction surveys and feedback
  • Coordinate the team for takeoff and bid
  • Oversee the contract negotiation and execution process.
  • Provide general Project Management oversight in all phases of construction
  • Provide leadership for logistical plans and project scheduling
  • Provide overall accountability for the successful delivery of multiple projects and\or a major project(s)
  • Provide oversight, leadership, and be accountable for the development and maintenance of the master project schedule
  • Work with Senior Project Management staff and Clients to ensure the Clients’ expectations are regularly being met, and monitor Owner satisfaction
  • Develop and implement a national strategy for Mission Critical market penetration.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities in the Mission Critical market sector and develop new client relationships.
  • Foster relationships with public agencies, private clients, and industry partners to build a robust project pipeline.
  • Conduct comprehensive research on Mission Critical industry trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory changes.
  • Leverage data and insights to refine business development strategies.
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and innovations shaping mission-critical work.
  • Represent the organization at national conferences, industry events, and forums related to the Mission Critical market sector.
  • Engage in speaking opportunities and panel discussions to establish thought leadership.
  • Build strategic partnerships with professional organizations and advocacy groups.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensuring sustained trust and collaboration.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for high-profile projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensures the project manager initiates and leads team building process during the initial project team assembly. Continue through an oversight process to ensure team building is being performed by the project team with all on-site project crews, owners, subcontractors, and corporate departments
  • Effectively utilize available corporate resources and internal support teams at key points in the project
  • Assess, review, and monitor lower-level management in regard to their job performance.
  • Assist the Director with staying current on market conditions, including customers, competitors, subcontractors, commodities, construction processes/methods, contracting methods, etc.
  • Collaborate with field operation managers and peer Project Executives, with the assistance of the Directors, on the selection of project managers and site team to build a balanced team for a successful project

  • Develop and monitor risk management/mitigation plans and strategies to support the project managers and project team,s as well as protect the company assets
