About The Position

We are currently seeking a Vice President, MFDA Retail Sales to accelerate our growth within the MFDA channel across Canada. This is a senior, externally focused role for a proven investment sales professional with deep experience engaging MFDA advisors and driving adoption at the advisor level. This role will work in close partnership with PICTON’s National Accounts team, which is responsible for MFDA dealer head office relationships, approvals, and strategic distribution agreements. The VP, MFDA Retail Sales will focus on field-level execution, advisor engagement, and sales penetration—ensuring national dealer relationships translate into meaningful advisor adoption and asset growth. This is not a people‑management role, but rather a high‑impact individual contributor position with strategic influence and strong internal collaboration. The expected annual base salary range for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 with final base salary determined based on experience, skills, education, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for variable compensation, including participation in a sales commission plan and the company’s discretionary bonus program, subject to applicable plan terms. Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in asset management or financial services sales, with direct experience working with MFDA advisors.
  • Strong understanding of the MFDA landscape, including dealer structures, advisor business models, and compliance considerations.
  • Proven ability to drive advisor adoption and asset growth within approved dealer platforms.
  • Experience working collaboratively with National Accounts or Head Office teams to support dealer‑level strategies.
  • Exceptional relationship‑building, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Self‑directed, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently while contributing strategically.
  • CSC required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling alternative or differentiated investment strategies is a strong asset.
  • CIM, CFA, CAIA or other advanced designations are an asset.
  • Bilingual (French/English) is a strong asset.
  • Willingness to travel nationally to support advisor engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Build and deepen relationships with MFDA advisors across assigned regions, driving awareness, education, and adoption of PICTON’s investment strategies.
  • Execute a disciplined, territory‑based approach to advisor coverage, sales activity, and pipeline development.
  • Deliver high‑quality advisor education through one‑on‑one meetings, branch presentations, and regional events.
  • Support advisor‑level due diligence, education initiatives, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Work closely with the National Accounts team to align field execution with dealer‑level strategies, approvals, and priorities.
  • Support the successful rollout of new dealer relationships, product approvals, and strategic initiatives at the advisor level.
  • Provide field intelligence and advisor feedback to inform dealer discussions, strategy refinement, and opportunity prioritization.
  • Ensure strong coordination between dealer head office strategy and on‑the‑ground sales activity.
  • Develop and execute a targeted MFDA sales strategy aligned with PICTON’s broader retail growth objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to expand product usage, wallet share, and advisor penetration within approved MFDA dealers.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, and Portfolio Management to translate firm initiatives into compelling advisor engagement.
  • Provide regular insights to senior leadership on MFDA trends, advisor sentiment, and competitive dynamics.
  • Represent PICTON at MFDA‑focused industry events, dealer conferences, and advisor forums.
  • Act as a knowledgeable ambassador for PICTON’s investment philosophy, portfolio construction approach, and differentiated strategies.
  • Contribute to PICTON’s reputation as a credible, education‑driven partner within the MFDA channel.
