Vice President, Medical Affairs

Hello Heart
•$280,000 - $325,000

About The Position

Hello Heart is hiring a U.S.-based cardiologist to strengthen its evidence-to-business function by translating clinical, research, and economic evidence into better product decisions, credible market claims, and commercial advantage. The position is part of the in-house Medical Affairs team and reports to the SVP, AI & Data Science. It partners closely with Product, Commercial, Research, Actuarial, and Data Science teams. The clinical team contributes expertise to priority product initiatives, supports strategic customers and prospects, turns evidence into usable assets, and builds the company’s credibility with health plans, employers, consultants, clinicians, and external partners. The Vice President will serve as a senior clinical partner across product, commercial, and evidence initiatives; advise on product discovery, clinical requirements, launch planning, and post-launch learning; and help define clinical problems, intended outcomes, member-facing considerations, and evidence requirements. The role also supports customer and prospect conversations, translates evidence into commercial materials, informs studies and analyses, advises on member-facing safety and clinical claims, builds external relationships, and represents Hello Heart at selected industry events. The position will help establish a scalable operating model for clinical coverage, evidence translation, commercial enablement, and external clinical engagement, and will work with Bernardo and the broader leadership team to shape coverage across product lines, market segments, and priority initiatives.

  • Experience in digital health, healthcare technology, or high-growth startup environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with Product teams and translate clinical expertise into practical technology and user experiences.
  • Strong commercial judgment and experience supporting complex enterprise sales, client, consultant, or partner conversations.
  • Ability to translate clinical and scientific evidence into clear business narratives without overstating the evidence.
  • Strong executive presence, presentation skills, and credibility with senior external stakeholders.
  • Experience with clinical research, evidence generation, and scientific communications.
  • Proven track record and genuine interest in using AI tools for problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Ability to travel approximately 30%.
