About The Position

The Vice President of Marketing will lead the development and execution of the company’s global marketing strategy, product portfolio positioning, and commercialization programs for Mobia technologies, including the Vivistim System. This role is responsible for driving upstream and downstream marketing, shaping the company’s product and clinical portfolio strategy, and translating deep market and customer insights into scalable commercial and innovation strategies. This executive leader will play a critical role in shaping the future of stroke care across the full continuum—from acute intervention through long-term recovery—by identifying unmet clinical needs, capturing market and user insights, and guiding product and commercialization strategies that drive therapy adoption and clinical impact. The Vice President of Marketing will collaborate closely with the CEO, VP of Strategy & Growth, Product Development, Clinical Affairs, and Commercial leadership teams. This role requires hands-on leadership to align innovation, clinical evidence generation, and commercialization efforts while ensuring successful product launches and sustained market growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
  • 12+ years of leadership experience across clinical innovation, product strategy, marketing, or commercial operations within the medtech or healthcare industry.
  • Deep understanding of upstream and downstream marketing within the medical device or healthcare industry, including product lifecycle management, market development, therapy adoption strategies, and commercialization planning.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, hospital purchasing dynamics, reimbursement considerations, and value-based healthcare models.
  • Ability to develop messaging that resonates with clinical, economic, and administrative stakeholders within health systems.
  • Ability to interpret clinical data, understand medical research, and translate clinical evidence into compelling marketing narratives that support therapy adoption and physician engagement.
  • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative market research methods, including segmentation, unmet need analysis, advisory boards, and physician and patient insight development.
  • Ability to translate clinical and market insights into actionable product requirements, innovation strategies, and scalable product portfolio plans.
  • Proven capability to lead successful product launches, develop go-to-market strategies, and align cross-functional teams to deliver commercial objectives.
  • Understanding of digital health engagement strategies, patient journey mapping, and modern marketing technologies used to drive therapy awareness and adoption.
  • Strong ability to influence and collaborate across R&D, clinical affairs, commercial operations, regulatory, and executive leadership teams to drive cohesive strategy and execution.
  • Demonstrated success building, mentoring, and leading high-performing marketing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex clinical, technical, and commercial concepts to diverse audiences including physicians, executives, investors, and board members.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Portfolio & Clinical Planning
  • Define and maintain the integrated product and clinical research roadmap, aligning market trends, AI-driven insights, and evolving stroke care models.
  • Lead upstream marketing initiatives that identify unmet clinical needs and translate them into product requirements and innovation opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Product Development on concept development and product requirement definitions, and with Medical Affairs on clinical trial design and publication strategies.
  • Contribute to long-range strategic planning, including analysis of target markets, key product claims, and future product opportunities necessary to drive sustained business growth.
  • Product Marketing & Commercialization
  • Lead upstream and downstream marketing strategies for healthcare professionals, health systems, and patients.
  • Drive successful product launches, including defining launch goals, developing branding and messaging strategies, and aligning cross-functional teams to deliver on commercialization objectives.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing programs to support the adoption and growth of Mobia products.
  • Partner with Commercial Marketing and Sales leadership to develop training programs, tools, and messaging frameworks that enable the sales team to effectively communicate product value.
  • Develop value-based messaging frameworks tailored to economic and clinical decision-makers within hospital systems.
  • Market Research & Customer Insight
  • Own primary market research initiatives, including segmentation, unmet need discovery, advisory boards, and patient-centered focus groups.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to understand the complete patient journey across clinical and at-home settings.
  • Leverage real-world feedback, behavioral analytics, and customer insights to inform product strategy, marketing initiatives, and therapy adoption programs.
  • Work directly with physicians, clinical thought leaders, and healthcare providers to identify evolving clinical needs and opportunities for innovation.
  • Patient Pathway Innovation & Clinical Program Support
  • Lead the development of the patient journey roadmap, incorporating digital technologies and data-driven insights to optimize care continuity across in-clinic, at-home, and digital touchpoints.
  • Investigate and establish protocols to identify and support key stakeholders in the home environment, including caregivers, aides, and remote clinicians.
  • Design and implement therapy engagement and follow-up programs to support long-term patient outcomes and therapy adherence.
  • Support the evolution of patient activation and onboarding programs that enable scalable therapy adoption.
  • Digital Marketing & Communications
  • Develop and oversee digital communication strategies targeting healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers.
  • Ensure consistent brand positioning and messaging across all digital channels, marketing campaigns, and educational initiatives.
  • Lead the development of integrated marketing campaigns designed to increase awareness, adoption, and engagement with Mobia technologies.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Serve as a key liaison across Clinical, Commercial, R&D, and Operations teams to ensure cohesive execution of marketing and business initiatives.
  • Lead and develop the marketing organization, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of sales training programs and commercial enablement initiatives.
  • Implement operational frameworks and programs that maximize sales productivity and therapy adoption.
  • External Engagement & Thought Leadership
  • Develop and manage relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), clinical partners, and strategic advisors.
  • Lead advisory boards, strategic partnerships, and thought-leadership initiatives that advance awareness and adoption of Mobia technologies.
  • Contribute to long-range strategic planning focused on the evolution of stroke care models and scalable commercialization strategies.
