About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Vice President – Equities Product Control within CIB Finance. This role supports the Product Control function covering the Equities business, including Cash Equities, Equity Derivatives, Prime Services, and Equity Financing. The position is responsible for execution-level P&L reporting, balance sheet controls, RWA/Capital reporting, and financial analysis while developing strong technical and control fundamentals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Control, Markets Finance, or a related financial control role
  • Exposure to Markets products required; Macro product exposure preferred but not mandatory
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of P&L reporting and financial controls.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exposure to FX, Rates, Repo, or other Macro products.
  • Experience supporting daily P&L and month-end close processes.
  • Prior experience working with offshore or shared-service teams.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial systems and data tools.

  • Progress toward or completion of advanced degree or certification (MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent).

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily P&L production and validation for assigned Macro portfolios.
  • Prepare detailed P&L explain, including analysis of market movements, sensitivities, and drivers across FX, Rates, and Repo financing.
  • Assist with balance sheet substantiation, reconciliations, and ledger integrity checks.
  • Investigate P&L breaks, discrepancies, and unexplained items, escalating issues appropriately.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close activities in accordance with firm timelines.
  • Maintain documentation and evidence supporting control execution and governance requirements.
  • Partner with offshore Product Control teams to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Participate in process improvement, standardization, and automation initiatives.
