About The Position

Needham & Company, a full-service broker-dealer, is hiring an Experienced Associate or Vice President, Investment Banking for its San Francisco office. The role partners with Senior Bankers across multiple projects and transactions, producing client analyses and supporting transaction execution from origination through closing. Responsibilities include preparing client presentations; financial, valuation, capital markets, and technology analyses; participating in drafting SEC documents; executing IPOs, follow-on equity offerings, and mergers and acquisitions; and conducting due diligence for Needham & Company-sponsored transactions.

Requirements

5–10 years of investment banking experience, including closed deal experience.
Semiconductor, software, or general technology experience.
Excellent analytical and writing skills, with particular attention to detail.
Strong work ethic.
Keen understanding of financial statement analysis and company valuation techniques.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, FactSet, and Bloomberg.
Teamwork, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Driven, results-oriented personality.

Responsibilities

Partner with Senior Bankers on multiple projects and transactions.
Produce analytical work for clients and support transaction execution from origination to closing.
Prepare presentations for clients.
Conduct financial analysis, including valuation analysis.
Conduct capital markets and technology analysis.
Participate in drafting SEC documents.
Execute IPOs, follow-on equity offerings, and mergers and acquisition projects.
Conduct due diligence for Needham & Company-sponsored transactions.
