About The Position

The Vice President, Information Technology is a senior executive responsible for defining and executing the enterprise-wide technology vision and strategy for the company's retail, production, distribution, and corporate operations. This role serves as a key member of the executive leadership team, directing all aspects of information technology, including infrastructure, business systems, application development, information security, and IT support, while ensuring technology investments align with and accelerate business strategy, operational efficiency, and the customer experience. The VP owns the IT capital and operating budget, leads a multi-disciplinary IT organization, and is accountable for the reliability, security, and scalability of technology systems that support the company's operations.

  • Building data literacy and analytics capability across the organization
  • Developing and managing the annual IT capital and operating budget
  • Analyzing financial performance and utilization data to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure effective allocation of resources
  • Negotiating and managing relationships with key technology vendors and service providers
  • Owning enterprise information security and risk management strategy
  • Ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of company data and systems
  • Serving as the executive accountable for cybersecurity posture and incident response
  • Establishing, communicating, and enforcing IT governance, security policy, and technical standards
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS, data privacy laws)
  • Directing business continuity and disaster recovery planning for all IT systems
  • Building, leading, and developing a high-performing IT organization
  • Establishing organizational structure, leadership talent, and succession plans
  • Partnering with Employee Experience to forecast staffing needs, build internal talent pipelines, and lead selection processes for key IT leadership positions
  • Championing a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and employee engagement within the IT organization
  • Communicating technology strategy, priorities, and performance to executive leadership, the board (as applicable), and key stakeholders

  • Champion a data-driven decision-making culture, partnering with business leaders to identify high-value use cases where data and analytics can accelerate and improve strategic and operational decisions
  • Direct the development of business intelligence and analytics capabilities, including reporting, dashboards, and self-service tools, that give leaders and teams timely access to actionable insights
  • Evaluate and implement technologies (e.g., master data management, data integration/ETL platforms, analytics and AI tools) that improve the organization's ability to capture, store, and utilize data effectively
  • Ensure data architecture and governance practices comply with applicable data privacy and security regulations
  • Build data literacy and analytics capability across the organization, including talent strategy for data engineering, analytics, and business intelligence roles within the IT organization
  • Develop and manage the annual IT capital and operating budget; analyze financial performance and utilization data to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure effective allocation of resources, including labor
  • Negotiate and manage relationships with key technology vendors and service providers, including contract terms, service levels, and total cost of ownership
  • Own enterprise information security and risk management strategy, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of company data and systems; serve as the executive accountable for cybersecurity posture and incident response
  • Establish, communicate, and enforce IT governance, security policy, and technical standards across the organization, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS, data privacy laws)
