About The Position

This role establishes and leads the enterprise HR strategy in partnership with executive leadership, divisional presidents, and business leaders. It translates company objectives into practical people priorities across various HR functions. The position serves as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, bringing business acumen and practical guidance to influence decisions in a decentralized, entrepreneurial environment. It also focuses on strengthening organizational capability and culture by advising leaders, equipping managers, reinforcing accountability, supporting employee engagement, and building leadership readiness, succession depth, and high-performing teams across locations. The role oversees core HR operations including talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits, performance management, employee relations, policy governance, and vendor relationships. Additionally, it guides compensation decisions, ensures HR compliance with labor laws in collaboration with legal counsel, and oversees FCC EEO licensing requirements for broadcast operations. The position leverages HR data, workforce analytics, and benchmarks to identify trends, measure outcomes, and provide actionable recommendations. Finally, it advances HR technology and AI-enabled process improvements to enhance productivity and decision quality while maintaining confidentiality and trust.

Requirements

  • Senior HR leadership experience in a multi-location, geographically dispersed organization, with prior service as a top, divisional, or senior HR leader with significant enterprise HR responsibility.
  • Broad HR generalist expertise across compensation, benefits, employee relations, talent management, learning and development, performance management, recruiting, workforce planning, HRIS, policy governance, and employment compliance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field, ongoing professional development in relevant HR disciplines, and 5+ years of senior-level HR leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proactive player/coach who leads initiatives end-to-end, manages multiple priorities, builds strong relationships, develops direct reports, and drives accountability through teamwork, delegation, coaching, and empowerment.
  • Demonstrate professional maturity, sound judgment, high integrity, strict confidentiality, analytical problem-solving, and a practical service mindset that balances business needs, employee experience, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Comfortable applying HR technology, AI-enabled process improvement, responsible automation, and people capability planning to improve productivity, informed decision-making, compliance, and employee trust.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead enterprise HR strategy in partnership with executive leadership, divisional presidents, and business leaders, translating company objectives into practical people priorities across workforce planning, compensation, recruiting, employee development, organizational design, and change management.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, bringing business acumen, sound judgment, clear communication, and practical guidance to influence decisions in a decentralized, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strengthen organizational capability and culture by advising leaders, equipping managers, reinforcing accountability, supporting employee engagement, and building leadership readiness, succession depth, and high-performing teams across locations.
  • Oversee core HR operations, including talent acquisition and onboarding, benefits and retirement programs, HR communications, performance management, training, employee relations, investigations, adverse actions, policy governance, vendor partnerships, and outside counsel relationships.
  • Guide competitive, equitable, and compliant compensation decisions aligned with business objectives.
  • In collaboration with HBI legal counsel, ensure HR policies, practices, reporting, documentation, and employment decisions comply with applicable federal, state, and local labor and employment laws.
  • Oversee compliance with FCC EEO licensing and public file requirements for broadcast operations.
  • Use HR data, workforce analytics, external benchmarks, and business insight to identify trends, anticipate risk, measure outcomes, solve complex issues, and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Advance practical HR technology and AI-enabled process improvements that increase productivity and decision quality while protecting confidentiality, employee trust, compliance, and responsible implementation.
