Our Operations & Maintenance team serves more than 700 customers and maintains a 99% renewal rate each year. Based in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, Solect is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pattern Energy Group. The Vice President – Head of Project Finance is responsible for Solect’s project financing arrangements, including financing and refinancing project debt, tax equity, and back-leverage facilities. This leader oversees finance execution priorities across the portfolio, drives capital-raising and cost-optimization initiatives, and partners closely with Corporate Finance and cross-functional teams to deliver timely, bankable financings that support Solect’s growth objectives. The role also co-manages key banking relationships with the CFO and participates on the Solect Leadership Team. This is a hybrid position based in Hopkinton, MA, with an expectation of regular in-office collaboration as business needs require.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in energy-related project finance and tax equity, with demonstrated success in structuring, financial analysis, transaction execution, and capital raising.
  • Deep understanding of project finance terms, documentation, and market dynamics across debt and tax equity products.
  • Strong relationships with senior banking and investor counterparts in the project finance space.
  • Proven leadership, project management, and team-building capabilities; ability to manage resources across large, cross-functional transaction teams.
  • Ability to evaluate risk/reward trade-offs, elevate issues appropriately, and deliver execution under tight timelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree and/or professional certifications in finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Experience leading financings for solar and/or energy storage assets, including construction-to-term and portfolio refinancing structures.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Solect’s project finance execution strategy and prioritize financing activities across development and operating assets.
  • Structure, execute, and manage financings and refinancings, including project debt, tax equity, and back-leverage facilities.
  • Review and diligence transaction documentation, financial models, and key assumptions to ensure bankability and value optimization.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions within approved parameters; optimize cost of capital and align with corporate funding requirements.
  • Coordinate internal transaction teams across development, construction, operations, IT, tax, accounting, HR, and legal to drive execution timelines.
  • Manage external relationships with lenders, tax equity investors, advisors, and counsel; partner with the CFO on banking relationship management.
  • Build, lead, and develop the finance execution team; allocate resources (internal and external) to meet business objectives.
