Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in: Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field required.
  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in precision manufacturing, with at least 5 years at a Director or VP level.
  • Deep expertise in aero-derivative gas turbine or aerospace component manufacturing is highly preferred.
  • Strong background in precision machining of complex, high-value parts using advanced CNC and multi-axis equipment.
  • Proven success scaling capacity in a high-mix, high volume environment.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
  • Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic initiatives to significantly increase manufacturing capacity through new equipment acquisition, facility expansions, process optimization, and workforce scaling. Develop and execute multi-year capacity roadmaps to support revenue growth targets.
  • Oversee all aspects of precision machining operations for complex aero-derivative gas turbine parts, including multi-axis CNC milling/turning, EDM, grinding, and specialized processes for superalloys, titanium, and other exotic materials. Ensure adherence to extremely tight tolerances and stringent aerospace-level quality requirements.
  • Champion a robust culture of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies. Drive ongoing improvements in cycle times, yield, scrap reduction, throughput, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Manage end-to-end manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, quality assurance, supply chain integration, and shop floor execution. Implement advanced manufacturing technologies and methods to improve process capability.
  • Ensure full compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, ITAR, and other relevant aerospace and regulatory standards. Maintain robust quality systems and achieve top-tier customer audit performance.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performance team of manufacturing directors, engineers, supervisors, and skilled machinists. Attract and retain top technical talent in precision machining.
  • Own manufacturing P&L elements, including cost of goods sold, capital expenditures, and operational budgets. Deliver year-over-year cost reductions while supporting capacity growth.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Sales, and Supply Chain teams on new product introductions (NPI), design for manufacturability (DFM), and long-term manufacturing strategy.
  • Maintain an exemplary safety record and lead initiatives to improve workplace safety and environmental performance.
  • Establish and track KPIs related to capacity utilization, on-time delivery, first-pass yield, cost per part, and continuous improvement project ROI. Provide executive-level reporting to senior leadership.
