Responsibilities

  • Maintain an effective portfolio of high net-worth individuals and secure major, capital, and planned gifts, as well as advanced annual gifts and endowment support.
  • Create and execute fund raising strategies that utilize best practices to meet goals.
  • Develop and implement an integrated development marketing and communication plan to attract, engage, retain, and graduate students.
  • Ensure dynamic processes in all phases of donor qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
  • Oversee staffing and leadership development of team members.
  • Demonstrate strengths managing interpersonal communication in a team environment.
  • Provide leadership during the hiring, training, development, annual evaluation, and on-going supervision of employees, maximizing the full potential of each team member by building upon strengths and professional growth.
  • Manage operating budget for Development.
  • Demonstrate ability to plan strategically and analyze effectively with budgeting, financial, and business acumen.
  • Partner with the Senior Leadership team and their administrative departments to meet fund raising and campaign goals.
  • Coordinate with marketing leadership to shape traditional and digital marketing efforts for Development.
  • Develop presentations and materials for board meetings and executive meetings per the President’s request.
  • Work to ensure that Campbellsville University’s brand is effectively communicated to constituents via electronic and print strategy, communication funnels, social media, and other channels.
  • Oversee continuous lead acquisition and prospective donor follow-up ensuring accuracy, efficiency, confidentiality, and the availability of data to appropriate staff.
  • Foster a culture of excellence in appropriately leveraging data and sharing of information, including best practices in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and other appropriate development analytics to maximize outcomes.
  • Develop and implement a strategy to increase alumni and parent/family engagement each year.
  • Remain engaged in current student life to build relationships with future alumni and families.
  • Train and develop staff members to ensure they are offering high-level customer service to all constituents.
  • Serve as member of the Senior Leadership team.
  • Serve on University committees as assigned.
  • Serve as an advocate in the community building relationships with civic leadership, religious organizations, business and corporate partnerships, and other leaders.

  • Fulfill other duties as assigned by the President.
