Scope As a Vice President in our Financial Restructuring Group you will lead execution on a variety of transactions, including debtor- and creditor-side engagements ranging from capital markets and refinancing transactions to M&A and broad restructurings. The group offers a unique opportunity to work on projects that provide exposure to a wide variety of financial advisory and investment banking products and industries. These services include: Advising companies and stakeholders in out-of-court and in-court restructurings Raising debt and equity financing Providing distressed M&A advisory services Advising in special situations with elements of distressed investing Participating in complex negotiations on behalf of our clients

Requirements

  • Degree qualified
  • 7-11 years’ experience in Restructuring or Leveraged Finance
  • Proven deal execution experience in Financial Restructuring, Leveraged Finance or M&A
  • Demonstrable experience in leading discussions with senior client executives and target management
  • Develop and review financial models
  • Highly proficient at Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong understanding of credit documents and liability management transactions
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Strong work ethic, organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to grow our business and act entrepreneurially
  • Motivated, creative, outgoing and possess strong skills in financial analysis
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and applied financial theory
  • Keen analytical abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution on a variety of transactions, including creditor- and debtor-side restructuring, liability management, capital markets and distressed mergers & acquisitions
  • Prepare, analyze and help explain historical and projected financial information
  • Coordinate and perform business due diligence, lead and execute M&A transactions
  • Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches and other presentations
  • Value companies and businesses
  • Assist in the marketing and planning of engagements
  • Lead a deal team including associates and analysts, serving as the “day to day” point person to drive a process and interact with the client
  • Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients and professional advisors
  • Assist in initiating and extending group marketing and client development efforts
  • Develop professional network and relationships with firm, client and target professionals
  • Management skills in supervising and training staff
