About The Position

The Vice President - Finance serves as the senior finance executive for the Electronics Business, a $500M global business unit, and is a trusted Business Partner to the Group President – Electronics. The role is responsible for all aspects of financial leadership, performance management, and business decision support, this role drives profitable growth through rigorous financial management, operational partnership, and strategic planning. The VP-Finance is expected to influence business strategy, challenge assumptions, identify opportunities for margin expansion and cash generation, and ensure disciplined execution against financial commitments. This leader oversees a global finance organization and serves as the key link between the operating business and corporate finance.

Requirements

  • 15–20+ years of progressive finance leadership experience as Sr. Director Finance, VP Finance, Business Unit CFO and/or Finance Director for a large global segment.
  • Strong background supporting manufacturing, industrial, healthcare, or technology businesses of $300M–$1B+ revenue.
  • Proven ability to partner with a P&L leader and influence business strategy.
  • Experience leading global finance organizations across multiple geographies.
  • MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with the Group President to drive achievement of revenue, operating income, EBITDA, and cash flow targets.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner on pricing, market expansion, product portfolio decisions, capital investments, restructuring initiatives, and growth strategies.
  • Participate in all major operating reviews and leadership discussions as a core member of the executive staff.
  • Challenge business leaders on assumptions, resource allocation, productivity improvements, and investment decisions.
  • Lead monthly business reviews, presenting performance trends, risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
  • Own the annual operating plan, strategic plan, monthly forecasting process, and long-range financial outlook.
  • Drive forecast accuracy and establish a culture of accountability around commitments.
  • Develop financial scenarios supporting: Market growth strategies, New product launches, Capacity expansion, Supply chain optimization, M&A activity, Cost reduction programs.
  • Lead variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations to improve performance.
  • Lead initiatives to improve operating margins through cost productivity, pricing optimization, manufacturing efficiency, and working capital improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve: Gross margin, SG&A productivity, Inventory turns, Cash conversion, Return on invested capital.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, and HR leaders to achieve productivity targets.
  • Track and validate realization of cost savings initiatives.
  • Govern capital expenditure planning and investment prioritization across the business.
  • Evaluate and approve business cases for: Manufacturing investments, Automation initiatives, Capacity expansions, New market entry.
  • Lead financial evaluation of strategic acquisitions, divestitures, partnerships, and integration activities.
  • Ensure investment decisions achieve required return thresholds.
  • Ensure integrity of financial reporting and compliance with corporate accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and risk management practices.
  • Assist Corporate Team in leading audit and compliance activities for the business.
  • Partner with Corporate Finance, Tax, Treasury, Internal Audit, and External Auditors.
  • Own cash flow performance and working capital optimization.
  • Drive improvements in: Inventory management, Accounts receivable, Accounts payable, Free cash flow generation.
  • Develop and monitor actions to achieve cash targets without compromising operational performance.
  • Lead a global finance team and build organizational capability through succession planning and talent development.
  • Establish a high-performance, business-oriented finance culture.
  • Drive adoption of financial and operational best practices globally.
