This position oversees a portfolio of finance leaders (managers/directors) and partners with them and their site-based operational/clinical leaders to drive financial performance. Leads annual financial planning/budgeting, monitors key financial and business metrics to assess performance relative to plans, and oversees development of short- and longer-term improvement approaches. Works closely with the senior executive team and, in some cases, the Board of Directors to develop and implement business plans, policies, and procedures to ensure the system's success. This role may be called upon to lead system-wide finance initiatives and must maintain strong working relationships with all functional leaders, such as Accounting, Materials Management, and Revenue Cycle, to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction. Responsible for ensuring compliance with organizational and external standards and keeping up to date on the latest industry and regulatory knowledge. This portfolio will include MGB’s community hospitals and Home Care and their respective finance teams (FTE ~90) with key focus on standardizing roles and processes across teams, performance benchmarking and identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing collaborative relationships with operating and board leaders.
