About The Position

The Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) Risk Team within Fidelity’s Corporate Services function is looking for a passionate, hard-working Vice President to help support the business in identifying, monitoring and mitigating risks associated with Fidelity’s fund and investment operations. As Vice President of Risk, you will report to the Head of Risk for FFIO, and you will lead a team that has responsibility for proactively identifying risks within FFIO’s business and helping FFIO management develop and enhance controls to mitigate risks and protect the interests of the firm and our customers. In this role, you will develop strong relationships with senior leaders within the FFIO organization and partner closely with them to drive a risk program that is suited to their service line. Your team will also participate in FFIO incident management activities and lead many key risk programs (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley 404 and SOC1), and routines that contribute to FFIO’s operational health. FFIO provides accounting and investment management support services for Fidelity mutual funds and other retail and institutional investment products. These services include calculating and distributing NAVs, distribution rates and yields for a wide variety of investment products; preparing fund financial statements, dividend estimates and tax returns; monitoring delivery of fund trades to custodian banks; processing corporate actions; collecting securities income on behalf of the funds; reconciling, reporting and moving money in support of fund shareholder transactions; and managing data fund and investment data. FFIO is also responsible for providing operational and accounting support to Fidelity’s expanding Alternative Fund business.

Requirements

  • 15 years of Risk Management, Audit and/or Investment Operations experience.
  • Understanding of complex middle and back-office investment operations a plus.
  • Experience evaluating operational, financial, technology, compliance and reputational risks and helping the business develop solutions to mitigate areas of risk.
  • Ability to help drive and foster a strong risk management mindset within the business.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and develop high performing teams and develop associates.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information to business leaders.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, including experience leveraging data analytics.
  • Bachelors’ Degree and Certified Public Accounting certification (CPA) preferred.
