About The Position

The Vice President, Digital Design is responsible for the creative and technical execution of the annual Prospectus agenda and Yearbook for the school year. This role involves constructing original spreads based on a creative theme, resulting in work that will be published in print for UBC Sauder students. The time commitment is 5-7 hours per week, with 7-9 hours during peak periods. The term of employment is from June 2026 to May 2027.

Requirements

  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom etc.), Canva
  • Passion and drive to continuously improve design skills
  • Ensure all tasks are completed on schedule to allow timely printing and distribution of the agenda
  • Proactive communication with the team during the term of employment

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and construct themes for the Yearbook with the team and co-chairs of the Yearbook & Prospectus
  • Maintain design cohesion and aesthetics across projects
  • Provide design input in the layout and graphics for the prospectus agenda and yearbook
  • Attend weekly or bi-weekly portfolio meetings for process tracking
  • Manage and communicate with fellow team members
