About The Position

BCI is seeking a Vice President, Cyber Security to lead and execute the organization's forward-looking cyber strategy. This role reports to the SVP, Technology & Innovation and Chief Technology Officer and will oversee a team of approximately 11 individuals. The Vice President will manage a portfolio of cyber initiatives to protect BCI's operations, reputation, and global workforce. This position requires serving as a trusted advisor to the wider BCI organization, the Executive Management Team, and the Board of Directors, while fostering a culture of security awareness, innovation, and resilience. The ideal candidate is an IT leader with proven experience in modern, future-focused cyber security functions within complex organizations. Specific expertise in Zero Trust security models, quantum computing security implications, modern threat intelligence frameworks, and integrating AI, machine learning, and automation in cyber security operations is highly desirable. This is a visionary people leadership role that requires translating cutting-edge cyber security concepts into practical, business-aligned security strategies. The candidate should be a thought leader with a service-oriented mindset, capable of fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and ensuring BCI's security posture remains robust in an evolving digital landscape. The role is located in either Vancouver or Victoria, with a preference for Victoria.

  • Building trust and credibility with the rest of the Technology Department, the Board and Management team at BCI.
  • Working collaboratively across all areas of the business.
