About The Position
The Risk Mgnt Country Officer is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within their field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in their job and the business. This role is recognized as a technical authority within an area of the business, requiring basic commercial awareness. Typically, multiple individuals in the business possess the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are essential for guiding, influencing, and convincing others, particularly colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. The role has a significant impact on the area through complex deliverables, providing advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. The work impacts an entire area, ultimately affecting the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
Requirements
- 6-10 years relevant experience
- Ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization
- Ability to both work collaboratively and autonomously; ability to navigate a complex organization
- Advanced analytical skills
- Excellent project management and organizational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one time
- Extensive knowledge of all legal, regulatory, appraisal, and corporate policies and procedures in order to ensure business compliance to minimize corporate risk

Responsibilities
- Independently monitor global and country developments and lead research efforts on relevant topics as needed.
- Review and challenge proposals for macroeconomic forecasts.
- Review and challenge the framework used to generate macroeconomic forecasts.
- Review and challenge sovereign rating and country Watchlist proposals.
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations (using Excel or other graphical tools) to convey the team’s analyses and views.
- Prepare memos summarizing the outcome of the review and challenge process.
- Build analytical tools to aid in review of macroeconomic forecasts.
