About The Position

BlackRock is a global leader in investment management, risk management and advisory services for institutional and retail clients. The Americas Institutional Businesses (AIB) is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with sophisticated institutional investors across the US, Canada and LatAm. Global Consultant Relations (“GCR”) is responsible for driving new business through relationships with influential global, national and specialist investment consultants. GCR is seeking a Vice President to serve as a key member of the US Consultant Coverage team in developing and executing on strategic relationships with investment consultants across the entire suite of BlackRock’s investment capabilities.

Requirements

Deep understanding of institutional investment marketplace
5+ years of experience working with consultants and/or institutional clients
Experience in working with various institutional client types (Pension, Taft-Hartley, Endowments, Foundations, Healthcare, Wealth, etc.)
BA/BS degree, preferably in related field
Has, or is willing to obtain, the series 7and 63 licenses
Effective team player; able to work with people of all levels
High level of self-motivation, with strong integrity & ethics

Responsibilities

Achieve sales goals by aligning consultant needs and client opportunities with BlackRock’s capabilities
Contribute in building deep relationships with consultants characterized by access and influence
Drive field consultant and senior leadership coverage, progressing the research agenda and overseeing servicing for the assigned coverage universe
Partner with investment and client partner teams to drive new business and maintain existing relationships
Guide and contribute to career development of other team members
