As part of the Strategy & Integration team, the Vice President, Communications Strategic Planning will report to the Head of Strategy & Integration and lead the Strategic Planning pillar, including the Director, Strategic Planning and Manager Strategic Narrative Design. This is an ideal opportunity for a strategic convener of people and ideas—someone who brings executive presence, operating discipline and strong judgment to translate enterprise priorities into integrated communications planning, prioritization, and governance processes that align resources to the work that matters most. The role will help align SLT teams around what matters most, make tradeoffs and capacity visible, and focus Communications on the work that advances strategy, transformation, reputation and stakeholder confidence. The current employee work arrangement for this position is hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of experience in corporate communications, strategic planning, business operations, management consulting, or a premier communications agency environment, with demonstrated experience supporting enterprise-level priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Strategy or a related field.
• Proven ability to translate business strategy into integrated communications plans, governance rhythms, planning cadences and decision frameworks that senior leaders can act on.
• Strong executive presence and consultative communication skills, with the ability to advise, influence and build trust with C-suite leaders, SLT members and senior cross-functional partners.
• Experience leading high-performing teams, developing talent and creating clarity across workstreams that require both strategic judgment and operational follow-through.
• Strong command of enterprise communications principles, intake and prioritization models, agile planning practices and workflow platforms such as Workfront.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, surface tradeoffs and drive alignment with diplomacy, urgency and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual, quarterly and agile planning cadence for Communications, ensuring enterprise priorities are translated into clear, sequenced and actionable plans across SLT teams.
• Establish planning governance, decision forums, service tiers and tradeoff mechanisms that help leaders focus capacity on the highest-value work.
• Lead and develop the Strategic Planning pillar team, including strategic planning operations, strategic narrative design support and intake, while creating clarity, accountability and momentum.
• Partner with the Head of Strategy & Integration, CCO, senior Communications leaders and SLT stakeholders to surface priorities, dependencies, decisions and risks in a way that enables faster alignment.
• Use intake, planning and status signals to make demand, resource pressure and tradeoffs visible, enabling more disciplined decisions about what Communications takes on, sequences, or declines.
• Ensure planning outputs, executive updates and GLT-ready materials clearly demonstrate Communications’ contribution to strategy, transformation, reputation and stakeholder confidence.
