Key Responsibilities Commercial & Category Leadership - Own end-to-end commercial strategy for Seafood, Retail, and Non-Food categories, spanning sourcing, pricing, promotion, and customer execution. - Develop and execute multi-year category and sourcing roadmaps aligned with enterprise financial, growth, and brand objectives. - Differentiate commercial product strategies from bulk commodity protein categories to maximize value and margin. Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management - Lead strategic sourcing, supplier segmentation, and risk mitigation across domestic and international supply bases. - Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key global and regional suppliers. - Lead high-value negotiations covering pricing, rebates, incentives, and long-term supply agreements. - Ensure supplier compliance with food safety, regulatory, ethical sourcing, and company standards. Private Label & Product Commercialization - Own sourcing strategy, cost structure, and margin performance for all private label and branded products. - Lead Marketing, Sales, Quality, and Operations on product development, innovation, packaging, and go-to-market execution. - Ensure brand integrity, specification consistency, and reliable supply across all company-owned products. Marketing & National Accounts Leadership - Provide executive leadership over Marketing and National Accounts functions to ensure aligned commercial execution. - Drive promotional strategy, customer programs, and category growth initiatives in partnership with Sales. - Support key customer relationships by ensuring competitive offerings, reliable supply, and disciplined execution. Financial Performance & Risk Management - Deliver measurable improvements in margin, cost savings, and working capital through disciplined commercial and procurement practices. - Partner with Finance to forecast market trends, manage commodity volatility, and support pricing strategies. - Establish and monitor KPIs and dashboards to track performance, supplier productivity, and risk exposure. Leadership & Organizational Development - Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing, cross-functional commercial organization. - Build scalable processes, governance, and succession plans to support continued growth. - Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA preferred. - 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in procurement, commercial operations, or category management, preferably within food distribution, food manufacturing, seafood, or consumer packaged goods. - Demonstrated experience leading large, complex spend categories and cross-functional teams. - Strong background in strategic sourcing, global supply chains, private label, and product commercialization. - Proven success in high-impact negotiations, supplier management, and margin improvement initiatives. - Deep understanding of food safety, regulatory compliance, and quality standards. - Executive-level communication, influencing, and leadership capabilities. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in procurement, commercial operations, or category management, preferably within food distribution, food manufacturing, seafood, or consumer packaged goods.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large, complex spend categories and cross-functional teams.
