How you will create an impact The Vice President, Cloud Architecture will lead the definition and execution of enterprise architecture strategy with a strong focus on cloud-native transformation, hybrid infrastructure, digital workspace services (DWS), and modern end-user computing (EUC). The role is responsible for driving architecture standards, modernization roadmaps, governance, and engineering alignment across enterprise technology domains.

Requirements

  • 10+ years proven experience leading enterprise, cloud, or infrastructure architecture functions within large, complex, and regulated organizations.
  • 7+ year experience and deep expertise across hyperscaler platforms including AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong hands-on understanding of cloud-native architectures, APIs, microservices, Kubernetes, containerization, automation, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent).
  • Experience designing and governing enterprise-scale hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments.
  • Strong expertise in Digital Workspace Services (DWS), End User Computing (EUC), Microsoft 365, Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, collaboration technologies, endpoint management, and Digital Employee Experience (DEX).
  • Experience with Identity & Access Management (IAM), zero-trust security models, and modern workplace security frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, platform engineering, observability, and operational automation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to influence senior business and technology leaders.
  • Strong understanding of architecture governance frameworks and enterprise architecture methodologies including TOGAF.
  • Experience operating within Agile and product-centric delivery organizations.

  • Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, TOGAF, Kubernetes, or equivalent cloud certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the enterprise cloud architecture strategy across AWS, Azure, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Define and execute modernization and re-architecture roadmaps for enterprise applications, infrastructure, and digital workspace platforms.
  • Drive adoption of cloud-native architecture principles including microservices, APIs, containerization, event-driven services, and serverless technologies.
  • Establish enterprise standards for Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, CI/CD, and platform engineering.
  • Partner with engineering and operations teams to optimize resiliency, scalability, observability, and cloud financial management (FinOps).
  • Develop architecture patterns and guardrails for secure and compliant cloud adoption.
  • Lead architecture strategy for modern workspace and end-user computing platforms across physical, virtual, and cloud-delivered desktop environments.
  • Define enterprise solutions for Microsoft 365, Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, collaboration services, identity and access management (IAM), and PC-as-a-Service (PCaaS).
  • Drive Digital Employee Experience (DEX) initiatives focused on productivity, automation, endpoint analytics, and user experience optimization.
  • Oversee architecture for secure remote and hybrid working solutions, endpoint management, device lifecycle strategy, and workplace collaboration technologies.
  • Ensure integration of EUC platforms with enterprise security, identity, compliance, and zero-trust frameworks.
  • Lead architecture governance processes and Architecture Review Boards (ARBs) to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and strategic objectives.
  • Define and maintain enterprise architecture principles, reusable patterns, reference architectures, and cloud design standards.
  • Collaborate with solution architects, cloud engineers, platform teams, cybersecurity, and application delivery teams to ensure consistent implementation.
  • Provide architectural oversight across major transformation programs, ensuring scalability, interoperability, and operational readiness.
  • Drive enterprise adoption of DevSecOps practices, automation frameworks, and modern engineering methodologies.
  • Champion secure-by-design and zero-trust architecture principles across cloud and workspace platforms.
  • Define standards for API management, identity federation, secrets management, observability, and infrastructure resiliency.
  • Support implementation of container platforms such as Kubernetes/OpenShift and modern integration technologies.
  • Own enterprise technology lifecycle management processes, including technology standards, currency management, and decommissioning strategies.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends across cloud computing, AI-enabled operations, digital workspace services, and enterprise platforms.
  • Lead proof-of-concepts, vendor assessments, and strategic technology onboarding initiatives.
  • Partner with business and IT leadership to align investment priorities with enterprise transformation goals.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives and technology leadership teams on cloud, platform, and workspace transformation initiatives.
  • Lead and mentor architecture teams, fostering engineering excellence, innovation, and modern architectural practices.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders in a clear and practical manner.
  • Support enterprise portfolio planning, risk management, and strategic investment decision-making.
  • Ensure architectural alignment with regulatory, security, privacy, and operational resilience requirements.
  • Partner with cybersecurity, risk, compliance, and data protection teams to embed security and governance into architecture standards.
  • Identify and mitigate architectural risks including technical debt, legacy platform exposure, and operational complexity.
  • Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and resiliency planning for critical enterprise platforms.
