The Vice President, Client Advisory is a developmental practice-building role designed to cultivate the next generation of business development and advisory leaders. The position is intended for high-potential professionals who aspire to originate new client relationships, grow an advisory practice, and become trusted advisors to ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, family offices, foundations, and endowments. Through experience across business development, relationship management, and wealth management, participants will develop the capabilities needed to contribute to Pathstone’s long-term growth. Working alongside Directors, Managing Directors and other firm leaders, this role will have exposure to the full client lifecycle, from prospect development and business development strategy to investment implementation, financial planning and ongoing relationship management. Successful candidates will participate in a cohort-based training program expected to begin in late summer 2027 in Pathstone’s New York City office. The cohort model is designed to create a shared learning experience, build peer relationships, and provide direct exposure to firm leaders and Pathstone’s collaborative culture. Through this structured, immersive multi-month training program, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of Pathstone’s integrated wealth management platform, including Investment Research & Portfolio Construction, Financial Planning & Professional Services, Business Development & Practice Management, and Client Advisory & Relationship Management. The program is designed to build the technical expertise, commercial acumen, and relationship management skills needed to serve clients and contribute to the firm’s continued growth. Participants will learn how to identify opportunities, articulate Pathstone’s differentiated value proposition, and develop trusted relationships with clients and centers of influence. Throughout the program, they will experience the collaborative, multidisciplinary approach that defines Pathstone’s client experience and supports our mission of helping clients achieve their Preferred Life. Temporary housing is provided during the training period. Participants will be assigned to a Pathstone office location as part of the offer process, with placement determined through a collaborative process that considers firm needs, market opportunities, and the participant's interests and preferences. Following completion of the training program, participants will transition to their assigned office location and begin building their own advisory practice and client relationships within the Pathstone platform. Supported by a personalized growth and development plan, participants will focus on cultivating new business opportunities, developing enduring client relationships, and growing their impact within the firm. Success in the role will be measured against defined performance and developmental milestones that evolve as participants grow their advisory practice and assume increasing responsibility over time. Advisory careers at Pathstone offer a long-term path toward business development leadership, client relationship management, and practice growth. This program serves as a launching point for professionals seeking to build and expand a client base, develop trusted relationships with existing clients and referral sources, and contribute to the continued growth of Pathstone's advisory platform.
